Royal Enfield’s flagship models the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are all set to get a new makeover for 2023. India launch of these models will take place soon but ahead of that 2023 models of 650 Twins have made their debut in Europe. What we see is a slew of updates which includes new alloy wheels, colours and super bright LED lights.
2023 RE Interceptor 650
So what’s new in 2023 Interceptor 650? Well it get lot of updates in which the biggest highlight is alloy wheels. Royal Enfield is offering the new Interceptor 650 in Barcelona Blue and Black Ray colours. New alloy wheels really look good on the bike. To make this bike even more appealing to customers Royal Enfield has also given it cosmetic updates.
On fuel tank the bike gets yellow and orange stripes. On engine, exhaust and front forks there’s blacked out treatment on offer that gives the bike a meaner look. Lights here are full LED unit which made its debut on Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 first. Engine here is same as of before. The 648cc unit makes 47 BHP and 52 Nm at 7150 rpm and 5250 rpm respectively.
2023 RE Continental GT 650
After Interceptor 650 let’s talk about 2023 Continental GT 650. The bike gets two colour variants in Europe – Apex Grey and Slipstream Blue. It follows the same update as of the Interceptor 650 which includes new alloy wheels, LED Lights, USB charger and blacked out treatment.
As India launch of both bikes is on cards and BS6 Phase-2 emission norms are kicking in from April 2023, the new models should get OBD-2 compliant engines. We will see a price hike on both models as updates here are huge. At present the Interceptor 650 starts at ₹2.9 lakh and goes upto ₹3.14 lakh (ex-showroom). For Continental GT 650 the price is ₹3.05 lakh to ₹3.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The 650 Twins are India’s best-selling 650cc bikes.
