A new electric bike to rival Tork Kratos and Revolt RV400 has been launched by Matter. This electric bike is known as Matter Aera which gets a base price of ₹1.44 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 5000 variant. The bike is available in two variants – 5000 and 5000+. Matter Aera’s 5000+ variant is priced at ₹1.54 lakh (ex-showroom).
Matter Aera Electric Bike – Range & Specs
Both variants of Matter Aera gets 5 kWh battery pack with liquid cooling technology. This battery is the heaviest part of the bike that weighs 40 kg alone. Total weight of Matter Aera electric bike is 180 kg. The 5 kWh battery pack offers 125 km of real-world range. The electric motor on the bike too gets liquid cooling technology and has a peak power output of 10.5 kW.
What makes the Matter Aera interesting that it gets 4-speed gearbox. It is the only electric bike in India with gearbox. Features on the bike includes 7-inch touchscreen display with an optional bluetooth connectivity, keyless operations, park assist, blinkers, welcome lights, front/rear disc brakes, LED headlights etc.
On battery pack and the bike Matter is offering 3-year warranty. The company hasn’t revealed whether the price includes the charger or not.
Matter Expansion Plans
In next 45 days the first experience centre of Matter is coming up in Ahmedabad. In next three months the company plans to open 20 dealerships across India. By the end of 2023 Matter has aim to open close to 100 dealerships.
Interested customers from Tier cities can pre-order the Matter Aera electric bike. In next 30 days bookings will start and in mid of this year deliveries will take place.
