Maruti Brezza CNG Launched – Price ₹9.14 Lakh To ₹12.05 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki holds more than 70% market share in CNG car market. After offering CNG on Alto 800, WagonR, Baleno, XL6, Ertiga and Grand Vitara Maruti Suzuki has now offered it on Brezza compact SUV as well. Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG starts at ₹9.14 lakh and goes up to ₹12.05 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).

In 2023 Auto Expo Maruti Suzuki has showcased the Brezza CNG. After two months of showcasing the car has made its way to the market. CNG option on Brezza is available on all variants except the top-spec ZXi+ trim. In its segment Brezza is the only compact SUV that gets CNG option.

The engine here is same 1.5-litre which puts out 101 PS and 136 Nm in petrol mode. With CNG there’s is a significant drop in power and torque figures at 88 PS and 121 Nm respectively. A 5-speed manual gearbox is the only option available here. In petrol fuel efficiency stands at 20.15 km/l but with CNG it stands at 25.51 km/kg.

₹9.14 lakh price tag is for Brezza LXi S-CNG variant. VXi S-CNG costs ₹10.49 lakh while ZXi S-CNGand ZXi S-CNG dual tone variants are priced at ₹11.89 lakh and ₹12.05 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom) .

Maruti Suzuki has offered CNG in Brezza on higher variants as well so that customers can go for both fuel efficiency and comfort. Brezza CNG gets all features available on petrol variants which includes sunroof, cruise control, 9-inch infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, keyless entry etc. However as a CNG it still misses out on features like wireless charging, six airbags, HUD and 360° camera.

With the launch of Brezza CNG MSIL now has 14 CNG equipped vehicles in its portfolio. This is more than any other automaker in India as Maruti is betting big on CNG vehicles. If we look closely then Brezza CNG has not any direct rivals as it is the only CNG vehicle in its segment. But with petrol engine it rivals Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
